On Thursday, February 23, 2023, Abu Tucker, a contract employee of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) in Bo, died instantly after falling off a power pole. Abu Tucker is a member of the fault squad in charge of correcting damaged electricity poles inside the Bo municipality.
A-Z media reported that the deceased was summoned by one of his colleagues early one morning to perform an unofficial task in the Lawabu section of Bo. It was revealed that the deceased attempted to climb the electric pole for the first time using a locally manufactured ladder, which eventually broke as he was carrying out his task and caused him to fall. Sadly, his hand became stuck in the electricity.
According to reports, Abu Tucker was survived by his wife, who is due to give birth any moment, and his remains had already been transported to Mokonday for burial by the EDSA Fault Team.
